After successfully eradicating H pylori in 2007, I was pretty horrified when I felt the same heartburn symptoms return in October 2009.
I knew H pylori had come back, but I ran a test anyway to prove it.
The test result is below (I used a different lab, which is why the printout looks different from the others shown on the site).

Recall my story:
November 2004: Major nausea, vomiting, heartburn and other horrendous symptoms in Egypt.
Dec 2004 – Aug 2007: didn’t feel right – tired, anxious, not sleeping properly, loss of mojo, especially in 2007.
Aug 2007 – Heartburn returned with a vengeance.
Aug 2007 – Tested positive for H pylori and also found out my hormones were all over the place (high stress hormones, low testosterone)
Sept-Oct 2007 – Took natural / herbal treatment for H pylori (heartburn went away immediately)
Sept-Dec 2007 – Followed natural hormone balancing program (mojo came back, had much more energy, slept well, felt great)
Oct 2009 – Heartburn came back – I also felt depressed for no reason.
Oct 2009 – Ran stool test (above) – showed I had H pylori again.
Nov 2009 – Repeated natural program for H pylori – heartburn and depression went away again, pretty quickly.
Nov 2009 – Suspected I may have picked up H pylori from my girlfriend so she ran stool test, which showed indeed she did have H pylori. She didn’t have any symptoms from it, but she’d passed it to me.
Nov 2009 – Girlfriend’s brother also ran stool test, which showed he also had H pylori (he had been suffering with heartburn and chest pain).
Nov-Dec 2009 – girlfriend and her brother followed natural program for H pylori and both successfully beat it.
What it taught me
These experiences taught me three things:
First, H pylori can come back – just because you beat it once, you can catch it again.
Second, it gets passed from person to person, which is why I reckon household members should all get tested, even if they don’t have symptoms.
Third, the natural program really does work. It worked twice for me and it also worked for my girlfriend and her brother.
I reckon this info is really important – it could mean the difference between beating H pylori or not, and it could stop folk picking it back up again after working hard to get rid of it!
Lots more like this in my newsletter.
I have had H pylori twice, the pain has been that bad that I have passed out

Wow – that’s a tough case of H pylori.
I’ve seen a lot of H pylori Symptoms in my time, but I think this is the first time someone has told me he or she had passed out.
Have you managed to eradicate it, Frank, or would you like some help?
Warm regards
Dave Hompes.

I have h pylori and it is bad! My gut is killing me. I started the antibiotics and on day three I almost winded up in the hospital. I stopped taking the prevpac. I refuse to take any antibiotic again. I feel miserable all the time. I think I have IBS. Is this connected to this bacteria. My lower back is in so much pain. Please I need to end this asap. Can you help me? I feel like I am losing my life.
Sylvia,
IBS does not really exist. It is caused by the food you are eating, and the H pylori, parasites and fungal overgrowth that develop in the gut.
The best way to deal with this is to:
1. Change your diet and remove all the foods that may be contributing to your pain.

2. Consider running a comprehensive stool test to actually find out whether there are any bad bugs (other than H pylori infection) in your disgesrtive system.

If you are looking for a quick fix to H pylori, you might be lucky enough to find something that works.
My savior was Matula Herbal Formula – it worked very well for me and I discuss it in my book.

so, no cure for HP..?
H-pylori can be defeated, no problem at all.
I did it (twice) and we’ve helped many people achieve the same results.
But the antibiotics don’t always work – they work about 70% of the time.
Natural approaches work well.

So I had h pylori symptoms for about a year and the doctors told me it was just stress. Well I started dropping weight which is bad because I am already so skinny to begin with. I felt starving all the time but when I’d go to eat I’d instantly feel full just by smelling the food. And the I’d throw up later. I swore up and down I was pregnant but the doctor confirmed it wasn’t that. So after lots of not eating and puking and pain and doctor visits that lead to me telling and yelling that it isn’t still stress a year later they finally decided to do an upper endoscopy. To which they took biopsy of my severely inflamed and irritated stomach and another of my esophagus. Both biopsies showed h pylori. They started me in a two week treatment. Amoxicillin Clarythromycin and two other medications I can’t recall. They left a metallic fast in my mouth. I was dizzy all of the time and felt extremely week. My boyfriend had to help me take showers because I couldn’t stand up long enough and the baths made me almost pass out. I was puking constantly. At least 40 times a day because I started keeping track a while before the treatment started to see if I was making progress with my cleaner diet change. When I breathed it almost felt like I was breathing out infection. It was so gross. Towards the end I just felt like I couldn’t take the antibiotic anymore because of how horrible they made me feel and I didn’t feel an ounce of better. But my boyfriend kept pushing me through. So I missed a handful of doses because I was crying I was so frustrated and just wanted to feel better. Well after I stopped the antibiotics I felt better. Here I am 5 Months later feeling sick all the time again with same symptoms. How do I beat this damn thing?
Emily,
First, read my H Pylori Diet ebook to learn how to a) manage your diet and eating, and b) implement a natural protocol to help fight H pylori.
Second, consider making sure that H pylori is the only bad bug causing symptoms. It may be, it may not be. It’s hard to know.
Sometimes people have other microbes overgrowing in the gut, which can worsen the symptoms.
But first, the main action step is to optimise your diet and learn which supplements can help with H pylori, and precisely how to use them.
Best,
Dave.
